This year YCS George Washington School participated in ColorCycle, Crayola's recycling program!  Staff and students were asked to save ALL dried out markers to mail to Crayola.  Before packing them, they had to be counted to determine the weight and this is where our students participated and counted markers to a grand total of 735!!  Crayola has made this program extremely simple to use and they pay the postage!

The students continue to learn about the importance of recycling, and this program is an example of how large corporations can partner with schools to help the environment.

We also would like to thank Ms. Joy (SW) for making this event happen!

If anyone would like information about the program, you can go to
